Planchets with "bumpy" rims - intended for world coinage.

Planchet intended for a Mexico 1985 200 Pesos km 509

Planchet intended for a modern bimetallic Two Euro

Theses 2D images of planchets intended for coinage show they bumps on rims due
to metal displacement when the planchet was "Lettered".
The point to note here is that in relation to the 2012 two dollar coin,
the bumps are created on the planchet prior striking into a coin.
