During an interview with Altcoin Daily’s Austin Arnold, CZ described prison life as a “very limiting” experience, where he had much time to reflect on what he values most. “When everything is taken away from you, what do you miss the most?” CZ pondered on stage, explaining that he realized the importance of human connection and deeply missed his family, friends, and the Binance community.

He also humorously shared that a few guards recognized him and even asked for crypto investment advice. However, CZ clarified that his time in prison was non-violent and provided a unique opportunity to gain perspective on priorities and his future goals.

CZ’s influence in the blockchain and cryptocurrency sectors remains strong. He announced that he would be dedicating his time to investments and his new nonprofit initiative, Giggle Academy. Giggle Academy will provide accessible online education for underserved communities, particularly focusing on those with limited educational opportunities.

Besides education, CZ expressed his interests in investing in technologies like artificial intelligence, biotech, and other blockchain projects. 

CZ also took a moment to address the global regulatory environment for crypto, giving a favorable outlook. Reflecting on how both U.S. presidential candidates have now openly discussed crypto, he humorously remarked, “I’m sitting in prison like, ‘What the hell happened?’” Despite his absence from Binance’s daily operations, CZ remains positive about the regulatory direction, seeing support for pro-crypto policies worldwide.

When asked about his current connection to Binance, CZ clarified that while he remains a shareholder, he is no longer involved in decision-making.

With an estimated 4,000 attendees and over a million online viewers, Binance Blockchain Week Dubai remains a vital event for showcasing blockchain advancements and fostering industry dialogue.
